WIND CAVE NATURE RESERVE
Wind Cave Nature Reserve is equipped with 1000-metre plankwalk where it is easy for the exploration within the cave. The passage lead to the small streams through the cave and joins the Sungai Sarawak Kanan at the northern end. The main cave passages are wide with flat roofs but the northern section is smaller passages of the cave. Few skylights and flowstones are also presence within the cave.
While inside the cave, the sound of thousand bats clearly can be hear. It is common to hear the sound of the bats since in WCNR, 14 species of bats are recorded here where the largest population is Dusky Fruit Bats. There also presence of thousand of Black Nest Swiftlets nesting in the cave at the upper cave wall.
At the outside of the cave the visitors can see small to medium sized trees and shrubs. Visitors also can see rare palms including Arenga pinnata, Calamus ornatus and Arenga undulatifolia. Beside other fauna such as squirrel, shrews and variety of birds such as swiftlets can be found along the river and the limestone hill.
